Devotion of the Day

Delicate mountain wildflowers in early spring. The inspiration given to those who conduct research. Sunday afternoon drives in the countryside. Full picnic hampers. Arched stone bridges. Discovering that your nephew likes to watch the same TV shows you watched thirty years ago! Sawhorses. Celebration meals. Christian principles. God's ability to do more than we ask or imagine.  A steaming mug of tomato soup on a wintery afternoon. Art lessons. Travel kits. Glee clubs. Being willing to ask for directions when lost.  Children who are allowed to spend time with loving grandparents, regardless of the divorce. The fun of reciting tongue twisters as fast as you can. Identifying landmarks. Tolerance of others' quirks.  Having a strong sense of personal history. Cupcakes. Struggles and victories. There are more I am certain for us to be grateful for each day. Can you think of a few on your own? (Excerpts from 10,000 Things to Praise God for)
