Family Camp

• Location: On the Shuswap Lake, Sorrento, BC

• Cost: Varies depending on preference for tent site, cabin, or apartment and on preference for dining room meals or cooking separately.  See cost break-down for accommodations and meals.

Families from the Ecclesiastical Diocese of BC Yukon and Alberta will gather this August at the Sorrento Centre for the first Provincial Family Camp!   

Families are invited to journey together through worship, song, play, and stories learning and sharing how we connect our spiritual life with our daily life.

Our day will include the community gathering together for worship and intergenerational Exploration. Intergenerational Exploration will be a time for families to explore further the theme of the day through Creative Journaling, Art Studio time, Music, Games, Drama, Contemplative Prayer and more. Families will also have the opportunity to visit the Sorrento Centre farm for some “hands in the dirt” time.

Afternoons will be a time for families to enjoy the beach and waterfront and possibly explore some of the surrounding Sorrento area. There will also be an opportunity for parents to gather together to share knowledge and experiences around navigating parenthood, children and adolescence.

This camp is an opportunity for us to explore spirituality and celebrate being a family together. You’re invited to come and be creative, live, pray and play.

Programming is being lead by representatives of ministries from each province, The Rev Scott McLeod, will serve as chaplain.
