The timely blessings of this day. Colours yet unseen, beyond the spectrum of light as we know it. Cork stoppers. Stone jars. The many different types of oak trees. God's guiding us into the paths of peace. Adding just the right amount of sugar to the recipe. A job done thoroughly. Personally designed greeting cards. Drapes that don't sag. Epitomes. Two handled milk jugs. The fun of comparing a photo of your mother with one of your daughter playing "dress up." Getting off at the right Metro stop in Paris. A new can of tennis balls. Covered parking.

Prayers for the families in the US impacted by Isaac and its devastation.

Prayers for the families in the Philippines.

Thank you God for another day of life.

Thank you for our homes that we live in.

Thank you for the food we have been blessed with.

Thank you for our families that we are blessed with.

Thank you for our  health, (physical, spiritual, mental and emotional)

Thank you for your love.

We pray for our enemies.

We pray for the homeless, the poor.

We pray for the sick.

Devotion of the Day

The lakes and woods of Mount Rainier National Park. Five-pointed stars. Whistling tea-kettle, with someone calling, "Kettle!" Solemn trusts that are kept. The Coast Guard. God's saving embrace. Our existence.  Houses designated for prayer retreats. Ember days. Gates opened to a larger life. Hand-knit socks. Paths through jungles. A pledge card from every person in the church.The mysteries that still lie at the bottom of the sea. Music libraries. The explorations of Vasco Da Gama.  The Grand Canyon of Colorado River. Missionaries to Lhasa, Tibet. God's dividing day from night.

Prayer of the Day

Today I thought I would do my own prayer that I usually say everyday.

Kleco Kleco Naas for another day of life.

Thank you for the home we live in.

Thank you for the food we got to eat today.

Thank you for the family we are blessed with.

Thank you for the ability to walk, the ability to see, hear and touch (feel) and to think

I pray for the sick, specifically my son-in-law kwaas-kwastin, Daniel C, Pamela W. My husband duk-miiq, my daughter Eva 

I pray for the poor and the homeless.

Devotion of the Day

The First Amendment. The waving arms of song leaders.  The hope of life everlasting.  Jesus Christ's conception by the Holy Spirit.  Altar lamps.  Healing of strained relationships. The reality of the unseen world. News of an exciting assignment.  Those whom Christ makes alive.  God's holy name.  Those willing to run a relay with you.  Sons who don't compete with their fathers.  God's giving us the courage to confront social issues contrary to the word of God.  Transplantation to better soil.  Lipstick that doesn't break in the tube.  Child-size choir robes.  Daisy chains. Oxygen.

Prayer of the Day

May God, my heavenly Father, who has forgiven me so many times,

make me forgiving too.

God, our loving Father, forgive me for the times I have not been willing to ask forgiveness or to make peace.

Devotion of the Day

The prayer of a child for a sick mother. Fellow Christian believers in French Polynesia. An entire day spent quilting.  Evangelistic plans to reach the cities of the world. Hiking into the canyons of Ein Gedi.  Substitute teachers who turn out to be interesting!  Company that goes home early! Company that stays til the candles burn out. An infant's fascination with mobiles. Oreo cookies. August ski trips to New Zealand. Two weeks at a spa.  Someone to remove the roadblock for you. Teachers who refuse to tolerate cheating. Being content with what you have.

Prayer of the Day

O gracious and holy Father,

give us wisdom to perceive thee,

intelligence to understand thee,

diligence to seek thee,

patience to wait for thee,

eyes to behold thee,

a heart to meditate upon thee,

and a life to proclaim thee;

through the power of the Spirit

of Jesus Chris our Lord.

Devotion of the Day

Baccalaureate services. Families that spend "Quantity time" together. Heavenly treasure chests. The reward that will go to the poor in spirit.  Mapmakers. A compelling urge to touch others in the name of Jesus. God's leading you to a new job more suited to your telents. Generous hospital grants. The spouse who is still discovering  new things about you. Freedom from the fraudulent. Coconut cream pie.  Having enough chairs for everyone.  Mending the fractured. Freedom from elbows  in your ribs. Those who don't sell out their principles at any price.

Prayer of the Day

Dear Lord,

I want to grow up to be a person who absolutley loves and helps Jesus in every way.
